Message from the Executive Director
We hope that you will enjoy your perusal of our agency website. We take particular interest in our public scorecard which has been in place for several years and gives us some direction for our services. We also outline our model of service which we believe is both collaborative and effective. Soon we will also be adding our agency's protection policies and procedures manual to the website in an attempt to be as transparent as possible. It will not only provide insight into our procedures for investigation and service but it will also outlines our philosophical approach.
You will note that we also have a section on the website where our staff can submit articles on child welfare which they may have written for school or for some project or workshop that they participated in professionally.
Please feel free to download a useable teaching version of a current psychosocial model. You may find it useful in your practice.
We believe that child welfare is a vital part of social work services and although we as workers are 'agents of the state' in terms of working to keep children safe, we are also advocates for the marginalized and oppressed in our society. We hope that our attempts at transparency are informative.
We continue to provide supports and services to children and families in Brant County, Six Nations and New Credit, so that together we can continue to work together towards improving the well-being of the children and youth in our community.
Andrew Koster (Executive Director)
